Dr. Joseph SinkuleDr. Joseph Sinkule

Dr. Sinkule, a pharmaceutical and biotech product development expert, is the co-founder of five different pharma and biotech companies. Joe is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive with over 28 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology management experience in the research, development, manufacturing, project management and commercialization of drugs, devices, and biologics. Dr. Sinkule has been directly involved in the development and commercialization of five vaccine products submitted to FDA. His expertise in the areas of vaccine development, project management, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, pre-clinical and clinical research, process development, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), quality assurance and quality control in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry makes him uniquely qualified as the driving force behind new biotechnology ventures.

Dr. Sinkule was previously a Senior Director of Regulatory and Technical Services at Quintiles, Inc. As Director of EER Medical Systems, Inc., a US-based clinical research organization (CRO) his responsibilities included overall corporate operations, business strategy,building the CRO business and advising the company’s clients in all aspects of clinical and regulatory affairs and GMP manufacturing. Dr. Sinkule also founded and served as President/COO and Director of Iatros BioPharma Inc., a genetics vaccine company where, as President, he negotiated and licensed the company’s technologies, obtained private funding, and advanced the technologies through Phase II clinical trials.

Early in his career, he held senior management positions with Immunex Corporation as Director of Clinical Research and was a key team member on the product development team for the commercialization of recombinant GM-CSF (sargramostim or Leukine®) and the clinical introduction of recombinant IL-3 and recombinant IL-1. Dr. Sinkule also served as Senior Vice President of Research and Development at a NASDAQ-listed biotech company and contract GMP manufacturing organization called Techniclone International. Dr. Sinkule was instrumental in converting a public biotech company that was making research-grade biological products (recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies) into a fully compliant GMP production facility for manufacturing clinical-grade biological products. During his academic career, Dr. Sinkule completed a post-doctoral fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis and held academic appointments in the Department of Medicine Division of Hematology-Oncology at The University of Chicago and The University of Michigan. He has over 25 academic scientific publications, and just as many years of corporate executive management experience, is capable of managing several difficult projects simultaneously and taking them from planning and initiation through execution and completion.

 

Mohamed Amin JaganiMohamed Amin Jagani

is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Clinetica Biosciences International, Inc., a global provider of clinical drug development solutions to the biopharmaceutical industry. Since inception, Amin has focused the company - through organic growth, on the global outsourcing opportunity to help biopharmaceutical companies develop new medicines with a focus on quality, speed and value. Amin began his career in the mid nineties as a pharmacy assistant and went on to become a pharmacist. Over the years, he has held various positions of increasing responsibility in a variety of health care settings including pharmacy academia, community pharmacy, hospital and the pharmaceutical industry. In 1998 Amin joined Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals as a Clinical Research Associate. Later in 2000, Amin joined Eli Lilly & Company and worked his way up to become Global Project Manager responsible for overseeing the North and South American component of a large International clinical trial involving 10,000 patients in 26 countries around the world (RUTH Trial).

In 2005, Amin moved on to the Contract Research Industry (CRO) and worked in a senior project management role at INC Research, a multinational CRO specializing in CNS and Oncology. Prior to becoming CEO of Clinetica, Amin served as Director of Operations for PPD Canada, Inc. a global multinational CRO with revenues in excess of $1 billion.
A native of East Africa (Mombasa, Kenya), Amin holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto, BPharm, professional degree in pharmacy from University of Toronto and an Executive MBA from the Queen's School of Business. Amin has served on the Board of Directors of the Wexford Long Term Care Corporation and is also licensed to practice pharmacy (R.Ph) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. In 2005 Amin was awarded the prestigious Queen Executive MBA New Venture Prize for the best business plan amongst hundreds of candidates. Dr. ConwayDr. Conway

An American Medical Association economist, and Dean Emeritus of the University of Toledo College of Business and Finance, Dr. Conway brings to the board not only a business sense, but experience with overseas humanitarian missions. He is President of the Diller Foundation, which promotes medical missions throughout the world by providing doctors, nurses, dentists, public health personnel, medical supplies, medical equipment, and medication. He is also deeply involved with the Medical Mission Hall of Fame, which he founded, which is designed to create and carry out medical missions throughout the world.
